Two decades on stage — from Rio de Janeiro to New York to Los Angeles.
Amy Stargher is a multidisciplinary artist born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa. As a child she explored her surroundings with the quiet observation of an introspective soul, building imaginary worlds out of music and images. That curiosity led her to pick up a guitar at 15 — inspired by a classmate who introduced her to Nirvana. Soon she was taking lessons, singing in her school choir, and performing live.

She studied Design at UniverCidade, then entered the Film & TV program at FACHA, focusing on screenwriting, directing and producing. In 2014 she was assistant producer on the short film Fronese by Mítica Filmes, screened at Itaú Cinemas Botafogo (Cinesystem). She graduated with her first documentary, Labirinto, dedicated to Jackson Saboya.

In 2015 she formed the Joan Jett tribute band Jett & The Bombs and moved to the United States. She busked in subways and Central Park, then joined the alternative rock band Trapped In Static, performing at Prohibition, Arlene's Grocery, the Montauk Music Festival, and the TCS New York City Marathon — with support from Sam Ash.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, she started directing, filming and producing her own music videos — a craft she carried with her when she relocated to Los Angeles shortly after, where she began performing solo across the city. In 2023 she performed at The Cedars, a legendary house that once hosted Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground.

In 2025 she joined Gritty in Pink and performed at the official Warped Tour Warmup. She has played Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Hotel Ziggy and Lucky Strike Live. That same year she took her music back home with "De Volta às Origens" — a mini tour across Brazil: three shows blending American and Brazilian songs. She continues to merge her passion for music with dynamic visual storytelling — whether she's behind the camera or on stage, driven by expression, connection and authenticity.
